Robert Singer, M.D. earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of Michigan with summa cum laude honors. He then graduated from the U-M Medical School with Alpha Omega Alpha honors. He completed his dermatology residency at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, where he served as Chief Resident during his final year.
Dr. Singer is board certified in Dermatology, and is on staff at St. John-Providence, William Beaumont and DMC hospitals. He has served as Chief of Dermatology for St. John-Providence for over 10 years. Dr. Singer has been voted a “Top Doc” in HOUR Detroit magazine from 2012-17, receiving the top honors in both 2016 and 2017.
Dr. Singer has interests in both complex medical and cosmetic dermatology. In 2013, he created a 501(3)c charity with his family called Dermhouse (www.dermhouse.org), which provides free care to those without insurance .
Dr. Singer has published several articles, including in the New England Journal of Medicine. He also serves as a preceptor to internal medicine residents at St. John-Providence.
Dr. Singer enjoys tennis, hockey and skiing, as well vacationing and spending time with his family, especially trips to baseball stadiums around the country.
Dr. Singer lives in West Bloomfield with his wife, Amy, and their three children, Zachary, Jordyn and Olivia. We also should mention his two dogs, Rosie and Rocco!
